The minutes of the meeting of the Planning and Licensing Committee held on 16 May 2017 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman.

Minutes:

Application for the demolition of existing dwelling and erection of three new properties.  Variation of Condition 2 of planning permission 2013/0385/FUL, via new drawings for plots 1 and 2 indicating relocated garages with raised roof level to incorporate a first floor en-suite, and an enlarged ground floor at the rear.

(Ward: Ketton; Parish: Barrowden)

 

Speaking on behalf of Barrowden Parish Council, Mrs Pickwoad addressed the Committee speaking against the recommendation for approval.

 

The applicant, Mrs Pickwell addressed the Committee.

 

The Ward Member, Mr Conde, spoke in support of residents opposing the recommendation for approval.

 

RESOLVED

 

2017/0233/FUL In accordance with the recommendations set our within Report No. 115/2017 Item 1, and the addendum to that report, that this application be APPROVED.

Minutes:

Application for first floor extension, two storey rear extension and replacement single storey lean-to at rear.

(Ward: Braunston and Belton: Parish: Preston)

 

Mr Gibbeson addressed the Committee on behalf of the applicant.  Responding to questions from Members regarding the effect of the proposed design on the street scene and its impact on listed houses on Main Street, Mr Gibbeson advised the Committee that detailing for the proposed extension had been taken from No. 5 Main Street, on the opposite side of the street, the detail of which was not available in the photographs previously circulated to Members.  Mr Gibbeson also advised Members that the proposed extension would be ironstone to complement the street scene.

 

The Ward Member, Mr Cross, spoke in favour of the application.

 

RESOLVED

 

2017/0238/FUL In accordance with the recommendations set out within Report No. 115/2017 Item 2 that this application be REFUSED.
