ITEM 1 (2018/0448/FUL) 34 NORTH STREET WEST, UPPINGHAM

Minutes:

Application to erect single dwelling with associated landscaping and utilising existing access on land adjacent 34 North Street West, Uppingham.

 

(Ward: Uppingham; Parish: Uppingham)

 

Mr Wilks, the applicant, addressed the Committee.

 

Mr Oxley addressed the Committee as Ward Member.

 

Mr Hodgett, Principal Planning Officer for the Council, addressed the Committee and gave an executive summary of the application, recommending approval.

 

During discussion the following point was noted:

 

·         It was questioned whether vehicles could access the site through the archway of the property rather than using Pig Lane. Mr Hodgett explained that vehicles larger than the size of the archway may need to access the site for temporary construction works but would need to liaise with the highway authority.

 

RESOLVED

 

2018/0448/FUL in accordance with the recommendations set out within Report No. 102/2019, that the application be APPROVED.

Report No. 103/2019 was received from the Strategic Director for Places.

 

Mr Hodgett explained that the Class Q application was overturned as the Inspector found it was structurally sound to be converted as it had a sound concrete floor and steel frame.

 

RESOLVED

 

That the Committee NOTED the report.
