In accordance with the Planning and Licensing Committee Public Speaking Scheme, the following deputations were received:

 

In relation to item 4 – Planning Applications, application 020/0172/OUT:

  • Mr Richard Drabble would address the Committee as a member of the public opposed to the application.
  • Mrs Cynthia Moss would address the Committee on behalf of Whissendine Parish Council

 

It was noted that Councillor R Powell was in attendance as Ward Councillor and would participate in the debate but as a non-Committee Member would be unable to vote.

 

In relation to item 4 – Planning Applications, application 020/0942/OUT:

  • Ms Mary Cade would address the Committee on behalf of Ketton Parish Council.
  • Mr Michael Bateson would address the Committee as a member of the public opposed to the application.
  • Mr Guy Longley would address the Committee as the agent on behalf of the applicant.

1.    2020/0172/OUT - Muller Property Group - Land To The South Of, Stapleford Road, Whissendine, Rutland. Outline Planning Application for the development of up to 66 no. dwellings, public open space and associated infrastructure, with all matters reserved for subsequent approval, other than access. 

 

RESOLVED that the application be REFUSED.

 

 

2.    2020/0942/OUT - Vistry Homes Ltd Land Off, Park Road, Ketton, Rutland, PE9 3SL. Outline application with all matters reserved except for means of access, for residential development of up to 75 no. dwellings with associated public open space, landscaping and infrastructure

 

RESOLVED that the application be REFUSED

Item 1 - 020/0172/OUT – Land To The South Of Stapleford Road, Whissendine, Rutland

 

(Parish: Whissendine; Ward: Whissendine)

 

Mr Nick Hodgett, Principal Planning Officer addressed the Committee and gave an executive summary of the application, recommending refusal.

 

Prior to debate, the Committee heard from Mr Richard Drabble as an objector to the application and Mrs Cynthia Moss from Whissendine Parish Council. These speakers also had the opportunity to take questions from the Committee.

 

Following the debate it was proposed by Councillor K Bool that the application be refused for the reasons set out in the officer’s report, this was seconded. A vote was taken on the motion and with 10 votes in favour it was unanimously carried.

 

RESOLVED
