This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
Cabinet to decide at their 15 June meeting whether to enter into an SLA for Blaby District Council to provide the Building Control Service for Rutland County Council for the next 3 years . if approved, work can commence on signing the contract that will enable Blaby DC to start to undertake the building control work when the contract with the existing provider expires at the end of June. Uncertainty around the contract and the budget implications has led to a delay in populating items on the Forward Plan with sufficient time to meet the statutory 28 days’ notice.
